Olot

Last week we went to Olot in Gerona with a few friends.

The weather was horrible to travel and the forecast wasn't better: alert for freezing cold and snow!

Saturday early in the morning we left to Olot.

After spending sometime in the road the weather was better.

There was a beautiful sun although the temperature was 0ºC.

We left the bags in the hostel and we went to visit a yoghurt factory famous in this town: La Fageda. It's a cooperative. It's a project for people with mental disabilities and mental illnesses.

They work in this farm. There were 600 cows that they every day milked.

In the factory they process the milk and make yoghurts.

In Badalona, they make ice cream with their own milk.

When the visit was finished, we tasted their products: ice cream and yoghurt.

For lunch, we found a good restaurant near the hostel. The food was good. I ate "esqueixada de bacalao" and meat.

Walking to the city we meet dress up people. It was carnival festival!!

We could see many floats and enjoy listening to music.

We finished the way full of confetti.

At evening we went to the hostel to relax.

Finally at night we went to the bar to watch the football match. Asking for dinner was a little difficult.

In conclusion, we ate what they wanted!

Next day we left the hostel and left to practice hiking.

The temperature was the same that previous day: 0ºC. We visited two volcanoes. 

We spent a good time, but if someday I go to Olot again, I'll go in summer!!
